Most RFID projects fail long before the technology itself fails. The issue is usually not RFID itself. It is how RFID is connected to everything around it.

For many retailers, RFID still operates as a separate layer: another integration, another dashboard, another vendor. That works as long as operations stay relatively simple.

But once stock moves rapidly through stores, warehouses and online channels, blind spots appear quickly:

- inventory discrepancies
- missing items
- different stock numbers across systems

It is not that RFID does not work. It is because the surrounding systems are disconnected.
